Four Fun Things To Do

One of the most common ways to get to Osakis is to fly into the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan Airport and rent a car to drive the rest of the way.  Osakis is about 115 miles northwest of the airport.

You may want to consider making your stay longer than a week and spend a few days in Minneapolis.  This is a very short list of four things to do while in Minneapolis.

Minneapolis is a very cosmopolitan, clean city. People are always surprised at how clean this city is.  The city skyline is beautiful and the archictecture is mixed between glass, woods, contemporary and old world charm.  The inside decor, from fast food restaurants to fine dining, have rich mahogany and other woods, giving the city a graceful, elegant, old world feel.  Yet, with a contemporary and modern edge.  Very chic city.

Right next door--across from the Mississippi River is its sister city St. Paul.  The architecture in both cities is stunning.  St. Paul has a French flavor with old buildings and beautiful old neighborhoods mixed in with some new.  A nice ecclectic mix.

The Very Short List of Must Dos

Bourbon Street Steak House is a creole steak house with a beautiful ambiance.  It is inside an old mansion that has been restored with all of the finishes and embellishments you would expect in an old mansion of a vintage estate.  Reservations are handy if you can, but not always necessary.

After dinner, pop into Valentino's, a four story nightclub in the same building as Bourbon Street.

Valentino's is described as a European style nightclub, where beautiful, well dressed party people of all ages come together to dance and lounge in a truly unique atmosphere. Reminiscent of a speakeasy, the plush furnishings invite you to settle into one of the many lounges and mingle with the chic, upscale crowd.
